17 december 2010

Well I have sadly neglected my blogging of late. HSC marks have come in and both Brittany and Tim achieved entry into University. Very proud of them both. It has been a pretty busy week with Brittany's drama performance of Hamlet, exam results and general end of year activities. Christmas is only a week away followed by a holiday up in Queensland. I have found a new computer progamme which I am loving. Picasso, probably not new to most computer savvy people, but new to me. I have been happily making collages of all my photoes. Sometimes I think I have too much time on my hands. Next year I am going to do some volunteering, not sure in what area. It is about time I gave something back, I am such a lucky person and feel I should help other less fortunate than myself.

excitement

Just to break the monotony of my life I decided to shake things up a bit today. Trying to wait until the cheap day for petrol , I had let my petrol tank get lower and lower. Eventually, no matter how much you wish, you do run out of petrol. Luckily Tim came to my rescue. So a trip that should have taken me only a half hour to complete took me over an hour and a half. So glad Tim can drive.
Had a wonderful weekend with Lauren coming home with her new boyfriend. He is a really nice fellow and I really liked him. Lauren is so comfortable with him. We went to our fave cafe Diggies for lunch on Saturday despite it being a wet and dismal day. The Chai lattes there are to die for.

FRIDAY

Well the weekend is again upon us. Unbelievable how quickly the weeks go. Only a month to Christmas. I do love Christmas with all its joy and merriment. I also love the atmosphere in the shops. I am a marketers dream.
tomorrow I am going to visit my parents on the Central Coast with Brittany. It is always nice to catch up with family. The older my parents get the more I want to see them. Tim will be coming home from schoolies on the Gold Coast, along with a ton of dirty washing. How unfortunate it is that I will not be home to contend with it. I just received a drunken phone call from him alerting me to the fact he is still alive. It will be good to have him safe at home again.
Summer is well on the way. Tonight the ciccadas were singing up a storm. It really feels like summer when you hear the ciccadas. Next it will be the Christmas beetles letting us know it is Christmas.
