SHOES

Recently the topic of women and their shoes came up again. Why is it a pair of exotic shoes with four inch heels  brings a woman to her knees. Is it in her DNA? Shoes in general can define a generation, make a man sit up and take notice or be a fashion statement.
Shoes can reflect a woman's mood. When she is wearing those sexy four inch heels in possibly black or red she is on the prowl. Feeling vibrant, beautiful and sexy, or perhaps she is short and just needs to have her head up in the clouds with the rest of the world. It is said that it is a natural instinct for women to wear heels to attract men as the heels cause a woman to walk with her bottom protruding, don't need to wear heels for that to happen in my case i'm afraid, and the heels define her calves. I will leave that one for the men to comment on.
Then there is the recycled shoe design, such as the "Converse". Young people wear the converse around , walking with a swagger, shoelaces undone. Well sweet young things, those shoes were around forty years ago, called gym shoes, which your parents all wore, minus the swagger.
Lets not forget the Ugg boot, the armchair shoe which when our feet are placed within their grasp all sigh with relief . Outed by Pamela Anderson for public exposure, the Uggie can now be worn anywhere and does not need any justification to be worn outside the home. Up there with tracksuit pants the institution known as Ugg is here to stay. Many shake their head in disgust, I say go the Uggie.
Shoes are a big part of my world, does this make me shallow, perhaps, but when I put on my converse and swagger out the door, I feel fifteen again. My calves are sexy and beautiful when those four inch heels are places firmly on my feet and when I return home after hours in those four inch heels I feel the welcoming call of my much loved Uggies.
